Zara Outfits Under $40

Zara Outfits Under $40

Since I got so many requests on what I purchased at the Zara sale, I figured I would just make a quick blog post about it!

There were a lot of items on the sale section, it was a little overwhelming. I figured I would see if any textures stood out to me and then just look at those items. I bought 2 tops, 3 bottoms, 1 dress, and 3 pairs of shoes.

Here’s how I styled them.

Look #1

If you read my previous blog post you know that cutout tops are a top trend for 2020. I grabbed this black cutout short sleeve turtleneck , it stood out to me because of the thick-ribbed fabric that feels high quality. I sized up because I did not want the little cut out to look stretched. Don’t be afraid to size up or down, get the size that gives you the look you want.

I styled the top with these houndstooth print pants. I love the small slit on the front, it allows you to wear a heel and adds a little length to you as well. I wore black square front chunky heels so this outfit is very comfortable from head to toe.

Look #2

This is a bodysuit, which is great since it won’t ride up! Love the silky fabric and warm copper color. It

looks great with these sandy tan pants. High waisted, straight or wide-legged pants are a great way to show off your waist and elongate your legs… oh and

if that wasn’t enough, they slim

your thighs! Ahh, music to my ears!

Styled these with the auburn Zara heels to match the top and bring some color to the bottom. Add a jacket to this for work and take it off for an after-work date!

Look #3

Styled the same top from look #1 with these fun skorts!

Skorts allow you to look good and not worry about anything, especially these since they’re stretchy!

Added the nude and black flats, these are great for elongating your legs as well and it brings that black color down so it’s not only on the top.

Look #4

This dress is casual and adorable.

Love the overall relaxed feel of it. I added the nude and black flats to keep it relaxed but you could style it with heels and some fun earrings to dress it up a bit. The fabric is comfortable and the tie belt accentuates the waist.

These are the 3 pairs of shoes I purchased.

They’re comfortable and will go with a lot of outfits in my closet!

I’m a US W size 7.5-8 and I got sizes 38-39

Remember that just because something is on sale it doesn’t mean that you should buy it. I know it may be a great price but is it something that you are going to use, or will it just take space in your closet?

Look at the fabrics, the stitching, design and overall look/feel of the garment. Don’t waste your money on things you dont need . Funny coming from me, a girl with enough dresses in her closet to attend a cocktail party once a week for a lifetime. But I’m working on it! Let’s be better this year. Let’s purchase with a purpose!

Feel free to reach out with any questions!

-TRL-6 Ways To Improve Your Mood

Hey all! I hope your day has been lovely, and if not, then here are 6 fast and easy ways to improve your mood!
After a long day, sometimes all we want to do is just lay in bed with a pint of ice-cream and watch a movie. Obviously, that’s not the best way to deal with things. So here are some fast, easy and healthy things you can do to improve your mood throughout your day.

-Step outside
The worst thing you can do while feeling bummed is to stay in your room. Step outside and just breathe, look at the sky, take in your surroundings. Removing yourself from whatever is causing you tension. staying in the same environment will just cause you more stress.

-Exercise
I have this really bad habit (that I’m working on), where I will make something yummy to cheer me up…but 10 pounds later, I’ve FINALLY accepted the fact that eating your feelings is no bueno! Exercising can be very beneficial not only for your body but also your mind. Chemicals such as dopamine and serotonin are released while you exercise, thus making you happy! So you improve your mood and tone up! You can hit the treadmill or do some abs and leg exercises in your backyard or bedroom floor works just fine!

-Turn on some music
Music is very powerful. It can take you back to some great memories. I really like to listen to Luke Bryan. It takes me back to my senior year of high school when my friends and I used to drive around the Metro parks with our windows down, so country I know. But listening to an old song can make you feel much better.

-Take a shower/bath
I’m at college and unfortunately don’t have a bathtub in my apartment, tragic I know! But you can either take a nice relaxing bath or a hot shower. There is something about feeling warm water hit your skin like it’s washing away all of the worries from the day. A great way to clear your head and relax for a bit.

-Watch some youtube videos
People usually say to watch a feel-good movie, but I swear by youtube. One of my favorite YouTubers is Shane Dawson. He has great conspiracy videos that I’m obsessed with! You can also watch a documentary. There is a wide variety to choose from! It helps take your mind off of things.

-Write out what you’re thankful for
It’s hard to realize how lucky we are in the middle of our chaotic day, so when you have some free time, get a piece of paper and write out some things you’re thankful for today. You could write about how you’re thankful for your family, friends, job and even things like your car, etc.
In a week, your mood will improve. You will feel much more energized and ready to take on anything the day may bring your way.

Remember to take care of yourself and enjoy life!

-TRL-The Perfect On The Go Outfit – College Style

Sometimes you’re not going to have time to pick an outfit for class. So here is what you need! When in a rush, keep it simple, look for neutral colors and comfortable clothes. A neutral color backpack goes with everything. Throw in your laptop, books, and notebooks. Black leggings and a plain oversized sweater with a cute bralette under are perfect for an effortless look that’s very comfortable. A pair of black athletic shoes are a must, you can just throw them on and they’re perfect for walking all over campus! Grab a baseball cap or a “Love your melon” beanie for those bad hair days. If its cold, grab a coat and you’re all good to go!

Just remember to keep the outfit simple and neutral. You can still look put together, and cute even if you have 10 minutes to run out the door!
