DIY Lip Scrub For Kissable Lips

Sugar scrubs are a quick, easy, natural, and an inexpensive way to heal and promote healthy skin. Over the years, I’ve tried many different lip scrubs, homemade, and store-bought, and I’ve found that my favorite is this homemade lemon sugar scrub.

~What You Need~

Avocado Oil 1tb
Cane Sugar 3tb
Fresh Lemon 1/2tb
Mixing Bowl
Table Spoon

~Why These Ingredients?~

Avocado oil is rich in fatty acids, jampacked with minerals and vitamins A, E, and D, which are essential for your skin to flourish. This oil is also able to soak though multiple layers of skin, leaving your lips hydrated from inside out.

Sugar is a natural glycolic acid which helps rejuvenate your lips by breaking down old skin cells and promoting the growth of new ones.

Lemon juice is acidic and well known for its ability to lighten skin, helping your lips be brighter and pinker.

In a mixing bowl, pour three tablespoons of cane sugar then add one tablespoon of the avocado oil.
Mix the two before adding half of a tablespoon of lemon juice.
Mix everything until it’s all one consistency.
Then pour your sugar scrub into a small jar, and it’s ready for you to use!

~How To Use~

Use this scrub once a week, or twice if you’re experiencing very dry lips.
Take a dime size amount and gently scrub your lip in a circular motion for 20 seconds, leave on for 3-5 minutes, then wash with lukewarm water.

If it’s consistency is runny, just add some more sugar.
Double the ingredients if you want to make more.
This scrub is also great for your hands!
Leave it with your skincare products, this way you don’t forget to use it.
